Monotropa Uniflora is a rare, delicate and etheric plant. In our Appalachian forest in South East Canada, it grows naturally in many colonies. As always at Lubies, we carry out a responsible and careful wild craft picking on our own woodland without endangering the perenniality of the species. In fact we have way too much colonies of monotropa then our needs.

From the Ericaceae family, often mistaken with a mushroom, the monotropa uniflora comes from the Tertiary age, nearly 3 million years ago. At the time of continental drift and the disappearance of dinosaurs.

This wonder of our Canadian summers, is adorned with several non-scientific names such as Indian pipe referring to legends and uses made by the Native Americans people. As well as Ghost Pipe, Ghostflower, One-flowered Indian Pipe and several other denominations.

There is many traditional uses of the Indian Ghost Pipe, particularly among the Cherokee people.

We recommend doing your own research but know that three drops are usually enough every 15 minutes when needed.

Cette merveille de nos étés Canadiens, est affublée de plusieurs dénominations non scientifiques tels que "Indian Ghost Pipe" faisant référence aux légendes et aux usages qu'en faisaient les Amérindiens.
